Old Man Memory or Programmers Memory?

Twice this week, and keep in mind that its Wednesday and Monday was a holiday, I've decided that some such code I have running around in production needed a slight enhancement that, as I muttered to myself, "would have been a smart idea just to put in when I wrote the damn thing", only to find when I opened up the damn thing said smart idea was implemented just not documented.
